Join me on a journey to Iceland’s icons—but done my way. We’ll explore Þingvellir National Park, where you can literally walk between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. Of course, the ever-reliable Strokkur geyser and the thunderous, mighty Gullfoss waterfall are on the map too.
But Iceland is about more than just the famous postcards. We’ll leave the main roads behind for a short hike to Brúarfoss, where the glacial blue water looks almost unreal. For the perfect break in between, we’ll stop at Efstidalur farm—home to the most delicious ice cream on the island, made right on-site! Afterward, we’ll take in the dancing steam of the hot springs in Laugarvatn.
Your Extra Adventure—You Choose:
Pure Relaxation: We can end the day by soaking in the Laugarás Lagoon or the rustic Secret Lagoon (Gamla Laugin). The warm water is the perfect place to simply let go and unwind.
Subterranean Adventure: Alternatively, we can head underground to explore a massive lava tunnel. Don’t worry about gear—I’ll provide everything you need! The tunnel is impressively spacious; we’ll just need to scramble over some larger rocks at the entrance before the silence of the underworld embraces us.
