They say the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is „Iceland in Miniature.“ To me, it’s much more than that—it is a place where nature, in a very small space, shows everything it is capable of.
I’ll take you to the west coast, where the wind whispers stories through the lava fields. We take our time. Our day might begin quietly at the beach of Ytri Tunga. Seals are often resting on the rocks there—a wonderful, still moment that we can observe (and, of course, capture) without any rush.
Next, we visit Búðakirkja. This small black wooden church stands so solitary and yet so proud against the landscape; for me, it is one of the most honest backdrops for portraits. No kitsch, just pure contrast.
What to expect on our journey together:
Arnarstapi: We’ll walk along the dramatic cliffs where the Atlantic waves crash against basalt columns.
Djúpalónssandur: We’ll wander across the pitch-black pebble beach. The sound of the stones being moved by the surf is the best soundtrack for natural photography.
Kirkjufell: Of course, we’ll visit this iconic mountain. But we’ll find our own angle, away from the heavy crowds.
Berserkjahraun: To finish, we’ll drive through this legendary lava field. The moss-covered rocks here feel like they belong to another world entirely.
As always with my work: everything is relaxed. We stop where the light is perfect or where you feel most comfortable. No forced poses—just a day in the wild, resulting in images that truly reflect who you are.
